Olympicare does not cover an EGR valve since it is a part that wears out.

The 1997 Chevrolet Astro EGR valve is located on the top of the engine valve cover. The EGR valve can be access from under the hood. You will not need to remove any engine cover.

The EGR valve is located on the back side of the valve cover on driver's side. It is connected from the rear of the valve cover into the intake manifold's plenum chamber, again on the drivers side.
