FROM EVERYTHING I HAVE FOUND THE ROBUST FUEL SYSTEM IS INTENDED FOR USE WITH E85 FUELS, IT LOOKS TO JUST BE A SYSTEM BUILT WITH DIFFERENT FILTRATION AND ALL STAINLESS LINES FOR USE WITH ALCOHOL FUELS.
Under the back seat there are two access panels to the tank. The fuel pump/sender unit is under the O/S panel and the other sender unit is under the N/S. You can tell the difference as the fuel pump and sender combined unit will have two electrical connectors. The solitary sender only has one and a fuel return pipe i think.
In the gas tank. Book procedure for replacing: Remove the negative battery cable. Relieve the fuel system fuel pressure. Remove the rear compartment trim panel - Rear in Body Rear End. Remove the nuts retaining the fuel sender access panel. Remove the fuel sender access panel. Disconnect the fuel sender electrical connectors. Clean the fuel pipes and the fuel sender assembly to prevent fuel contamination during the removal. Disconnect the quick-connect fittings at the fuel sender assembly. Remove fuel sender snap ring retaining the fuel sender. Remove the modular fuel sender assembly. Clean and inspect the O-ring sealing surfaces of the fuel sender assembly . Important Always replace the fuel sender O-rings when reinstalling the fuel sender assembly. The modular fuel sender assembly will spring-up when the snap ring is removed. When removing the modular fuel sender assembly from the fuel tank, the reservoir bucket on the fuel sender assembly is full of fuel. The modular fuel sender assembly must be tipped slightly during removal in order to avoid damage to the float. Place any remaining fuel into an approved container once the modular fuel sender assembly is removed from the fuel tank. Always maintain cleanliness when servicing the fuel system components. Care should be taken not to fold over or twist the fuel pump strainer when installing the fuel sender assembly, as this will restrict fuel flow. Also, ensure that the fuel pump strainer does not block full travel of float arm. Ensure that the snap ring retaining the fuel sender assembly is fully seated within the tab slots on the fuel tank. Position the new fuel sender assembly O-ring on the fuel tank. Install the fuel sender assembly into the fuel tank. The Fuel Sender Assembly is spring loaded, it will be necessary to hold the sender in place. Install the snap ring retaining the fuel sender assembly . Connect the fuel sender assembly electrical connectors. Install the quick-connect fittings at the fuel sender assembly. Connect the negative battery cable. Perform the following procedure to check for fuel leaks: Turn the ignition switch to the ON position for 2 seconds. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF for 10 seconds. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position again. Visually inspect the fuel system for fuel leaks. Install the fuel sender access panel. Good Luck!
The fuel filter is located in the fuel sender assembly, inside the fuel tank. Vehicles with dual tanks, have no fuel filter in the rear tank fuel sender assembly.
hi mate the fuel sender on the corsa should be in the fuel tank as on the majority of cars cheers telboy.
fuel gauge sender and pump are in the gas tank (which must be removed).
Inside the fuel tank.....
You remove it by undoing the big ribbed ring that surrounds it by gently tapping it round anticlockwise with a hammer and flatblade screwdriver if it will not undo by hand.
the fuel pump is located on the fuel sender inside the fuel tank
In a WB Statesman, the fuel sender is located inside the fuel tank. To access it, you typically need to remove the rear seat and the fuel tank access cover, or alternatively, drop the fuel tank if necessary. The sender is attached to the fuel pump and is responsible for gauging the fuel level. Always ensure to disconnect the battery and follow safety precautions when working with fuel systems.
Oil pressure sender /fuel pump switch for 1995 Pontiac transport 3.1 is located between oil filter and starter at front of engine.
== == The Pontiac Vibe Fuel filter is located on top of the gas tank. you can access it by going thru the cargo floor hatch under the spare tire. The access to the fuel filter in the fuel tank is by removing the bottom of the rear seat. It is not something that needs to be routinely replaced
The most likely reason is the sender wire (that runs from the sender unit in the fuel tank) is earthing some where along its route.
