mercon v
It is most likely your pressure sensor selenoid. take it to your local transmission shop.
Read you owners manual.. that's what its there for.
It is a recall. You should take it to a ford dealer. They will take care of it. Here is a link, that shows recalls for The Thunderbird. http://www.dealerrater.com/recalls/Ford/THUNDERBIRD/
You do not say if it is a manual or automatic transmission. Automatic trans will take mercon V (all ford products that took mercon will now go to mercon V as mercon will no longer be made by ford)
For a 1995 Ford Thunderbird : ( " regular " unleaded gasoline , 87 octane )

I would highly suggest Allison Transynd synthetic fluid, For all on highway models. allisontech
I suggest you check to see if the transmission fuild is low or take your car to the dealer to see if something is wrong with the cars wheels or the transmission.
Do I have to drop the maliford to take out the transmission?
Use only genuine Honda ATF DW-1 transmission fluid in the A/T and nothing else. Do not use any other fluid that claims to be compatible.
