the starter may not be good or the connection on the starter may be loose
Several possibilities: 1) battery does not have enough voltage to turn the starter; 2) faulty starter motor; bad battery connection.
sounds like a loose battery connection
check starter connection,if 12 volts there probably bad starter
Your battery is dead.
Assuming the battery checks good, you have a bad connection between the negative battery post and ground to the engine, or bad connection between the positive battery post and the starter.
several things depending on what the car is doing. if the car turns over but doesnt start its most likely a fuel problem such as a fuel pump. if the car only makes a clicking noise its usually the battery or starter. check if the baterry is dead buy jumping it with another car or connecting to a battery charger, making sure that you have a good connection to the terminals on the battery
You might have a bad battery, a poor connection between the battery and alternator, or a bad ground from the battery.
Loose connection? Bad ground? Weak battery?
check the battery or battery cables or the alternator or starter
Check battery earth connection.
check to make sure the screws on the battery still have a good connection.. this happened to my Chevy prism 4 times.. it turned out to only be a loose screw and a bad connection as a result. if the battery has a bead connection on prisms, all power is lost to the car.
the connection between the battery and the brake lights
