What would cause the engine not to restart when hot Chevy Trailblazer 2007?
can a chevy truck with a 350 engine with a tbi cause detonation and pre- ignition?
NO. There conclusion was that it is a NORMAL problem with the 6.0L and 5.3L engines and that it will not do any HARM are cause a early engine problem as long as you let the engine idle and warm up to running temperature before driving. The noise that you hear are the PISTONS slapping in the cylinders when engine is cold. As the engine warms up the piston expand and tighten up in the cylinders and the noise goes away. That is SAD. For a company such as Chevy to do NOTHING about that problem. I own a 2000 6.0L too, and it is also noisy on start up.
Blown head gasket is one cause.
missfire. probably it dont fire on all cylinders.
Check engine light on?? Not running on all cylinders?
It can and it will eventually cause the engine to self destruct and you will be not running at all.
Most likely you mite have too big of a carburetor on your engine.
most likely an intake gasket
If you have a "check engine" light on, start with having the codes read. A misfire code can tell you which cylinder or cylinders are having problems. A misfire could be the cause of your engine vibration.
Burning excessive oil in the cylinders is the culprit. Scored cylinders and broken rings will usually contribute to blue smoke. Once it turns black, the engine is toast!
It sure can.
