Most common trouble about switching your ignition and warning light fails to appear are;
#1. your ignition switch contactors were loose or neither worn out due your cars age or either to much on and off.
#2. maybe your warning light bulbs were already busted
#3. if your alternator were already serviced and you've replaced you IC Voltage regulator
most common your IC is not compatible with your wiring set_up or it wasn't connected to your dash board senders or it was connected but in wrong order such as your Positive (P)
and (E) and Negative (N) were installed in a wrong position.
#4 blown fuse
I had this problem on my disco 1. Turned out to be the alternator, which was replaced and the problem was fixed.
