If you bought the car "As Is" then you have no rights unless you can prove the seller knew the engine was about to fail. If he is a real friend he should agree to share the cost of repair with you 50/50 which would be fair if he did not know the engine had a problem. I hope you learned a lesson I learned years ago. Never ever buy or sell anything to a friend or family member. NEVER!
You signed away those "rights" when the title was assigned into the name of the former friend. The only way to revert things back on the title, is for the former friend to "sign off" as owner and for you to "sign on" as buyer - then take the ownership document to your local Motor Vehicle office and have the title legally changed to your name.
it has a moter

When I bought my ford windstar it was used and later discovered the sway bar needed replacing. I am not saying that this is your problem but it is worth checking out also check you motor mounts, tires.
You didn't say if the motor was faulty when you bought it, if so call the store where you bought it. However, if you just need to replace a motor, Hobby Lobby or most Hobby stores will have these motors available, either in their shop or to be ordered.

No, they are not the same.
A starter motor on a Kia Carnival can be bought from eBay. Look for the seller "autocoolingparts" to avoid bogus merchants.
The UK manufacturing company called Leyland was a motor company that specialized in trucks and vans. It was renamed to Rover Group in 1986. It later got defunct in 2000 after BMW bought the company.
In 1888 Tesla designed the first practical system of generating and transmitting alternating current for electric power. The American rights to this epoch-making invention were bought by the American inventor George Westinghouse, who demonstrated the system for the first time at the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago. Two years later Tesla's alternating-current motors were installed at the Niagara Falls power project.
more than it is worth. my wife and I foolishly bought a 2004 sebring with the 2.7 in it and started having engine problems about a year later. took it to a trusted mechanic who said we'd be better off replacing the motor than rebuilding it. tried for a few weeks to find another 2.7 V6. every motor shop who had one advised me not to buy it, stating in each case that the 2.7 V6 was just a junk motor from the start, and even if I bought a new one I would have the same problems eventually.
Wrong thermostat? Wrong installation procedure?
