Do new car Dealers make more money selling cars or in the Service Dep't?

Car dealers make far more profits in the service department than by selling new cars. A dealer only gets a specific cut on selling new car, whereas, customer won't be allowed to negotiate hourly labor rates and any parts that need to be changed.
