Why is some hair curly?

Some people have wavy, curly, or straight hair because God made us ALL different. There is no problem with being different!! We usually want hair that other people have. Just be thankful that you have hair at all!! Some people do NOT have hair!! :D

Some people have curly hair and some have straight hair because we are different. Our eye color,hair color,skin tone, and if our hair is curly or straight are inharitied traits. This is called heredity. If your mother's hair is brown, your hair is more likely to be brown. You can also inharit diseases from your parents if they show symptoms.

ANSWER:It has to do with the temperature of which the person and their ancestors have lived. Striaght hair is a sign that the person has lived in a cooler climate, because it will lay flat to conserve body heat. Curly hair is known as a heat coil, meaning that it disperses heat more rapidly. Pepole from arctic regions have straight, oily hair. People who live in desert regions like the desert or in Africa have curly hair to disperse the heat.

It has to do with the pairing of certain genes - it's like people who have dark hair have a higher tendency to have dark eyes...But here's the thing - while it may seem that all red heads have curly hair, it's not actually the case.
