∙ 15y agoyour vocal chords need rest... it's a muscle, and like any other strained muscle, time and rest is your best bet. Doubt if you can get your voice back tonight, but salt water helps take away the swelling. Lemon juice and honey in hot water is a good drink to help sooth the chords.

∙ 15y agoDo not talk. At all. Talking will make it worse. Gargle with salt water at least 3 times a day. Or try sucking on a clove of garlic, I know that sounds weird but it works.
