There is no definite way to tell unless you know the actual genotype for both parents. This means that if the mother is AA (A blood type) genotype and the dad is BB (B blood type) genotype the baby will be AB for sure, but if the mother is AO (A blood type) and the dad BO (B blood type) the baby could be A, B, AB, or O. However, with the parents being A and B blood type means they each have at least one gene for those traits giving the baby a more than likely genotype of AB (AB blood type).

Not enough information given. To be 100% sure you would need a pedigree, a kind of map of both sides of the family for at least 2 generations, maybe more. The father may be type AA or AO, and the mother may be type AA or AO. Possible outcomes are AA, AO, or OO. If the baby is born with AA or AO, that is type A blood. If the baby is born with OO, that is type O blood. As for the Rh, that is the luck of the draw. The baby may inherit the negative from the mother or the positive from the father. More likely it will be Rh positive, but there is a chance that it would be negative. To summarize, the baby may be born A positive, O positive, A negative, or O negative, depending on the full type of the parents.

There are a few possible answers here:

If a person has type A blood, their phenotype is IAIA or IAIo

Basically to cut a long story short, the baby will either have Type A or Type O, but never Type B or Type AB.

The blood group can be 'O' or 'A'. It is because of multiple alleles The person with blood group O has only 1 possibility of IO IO while the person with the blood group A can have 2 possibilities IAIA or IAIO so if the probability is taken out there are only 2 types possible i.e. blood group A or O

What would be expected if a woman with blood type AB has children with a man who has blood type AB?

That would depend on whether the bloods types are both negative or both positive or one of each, If the blood types are both the same then there will be no problem, if the mother has negative blood and the father positive, the baby can be born "blue", which basically means the mothers blood being negative is trying to destroy the fathers positive antibodies from his blood in the baby, this is not too much of a problem as midwives will administer an "anti D" injection to the mother to protect the baby, if untreated the baby will be born with blue lips, toes, fingers and other extremities, a blood transfusion usually sorts any problems and does not have any long term problems for mother or baby.

Can a child be born without the mother or the fathers blood type?

Yes!

Can a Type O father and a Type AB mother have a normal child?

I'm not certain what this question is really asking. If read literally, I would assume yes, a mother and a father can parent an AB positive child provided they are capable adults. If the question is asking can a man have a child that has a different blood type than his, the answer is yes. A baby will have either mom or dad's blood type. Now if dad is O pos and mom is AB pos and the baby's blood type is neither one of those, I would suggest DNA testing for that baby.

If the father is blood type B and the mother is blood type A is it possible for the baby to be blood type O?

Can an a positive blood type father have an o blood type baby?

First let Me say "Fathers don't have babys, Mothers do" To answer what I think is the intent of the question A AB B and O blood type is completely separate from RH factor which is + or - so The Fathers O blood type has absolutely nothing to do with the Rh factor of the babys blood. A father with Rh + blood can Father a baby with type O (or any other type) blood.

What is the probability of the baby having the fathers blood type over the mothers?

Male or female doesn't make a difference in blood type. A and B are dominant over O, and positive is dominant over negative.

Father is A negative blood and mother is O positive blood what type blood will the baby have?

I am O positive and my husband is A negative, and our son is A negative, for some reason children mostly take their fathers blood group, but not always, other possible blood groups the baby could be would be either yours or your husbands blood type.

Is it true that a baby will always always be born with the fathers blood type is this true?

no

Can siblings with same birth mothers but different birth fathers have the identical blood type?

yes sibblings wih

Can a baby be born with blood type o if the father is blood type o and the mother blood type a?

Yes. The father's blood type must be oo. The mother's blood type could either be Ao or AA (both of these are blood type A). If the mothers blood type is Ao, she could give the o gene to the baby, resulting in the baby being type oo (or type o). (In order to have blood type o, you must have an o from your mother and an o from your father.)

Can a o positive mom have a a negative baby?

Yes

Does a baby necessarily have mothers or fathers blood group?

The same blood flowing in the body of the mother, flows in the child. So the mothers. As to the bloodtype it will have its own, either the same as one parent or a combination of the two. Mothers with negative blood who have children with positive blood are at greater risk of having a miscarriage. The Mothers blood NEVER comes in direct contact with the developing baby. The mother's blood supplies nutrients to the placenta which transfers nutrients (and oxygen) to the baby's blood.

Could your blood type be o or b if your fathers is blood type o dominant and your mothers is blood type b dominant?

Yes - blood type O or B are the only possibilities. Each parent donates one allele to the child. The parent with blood type O must donate an O. The parent with blood type be will donate either a B or an O - they can only donate an O if they are heterozygous, BO.

Why can blood type data cannot prove who the father of a baby is and can only prove who is not?

Let's say there's a mother with blood type A and the baby is type B; the list of possible fathers drops because in order for that baby's blood type to be B, it would have to come from someone with either AB, or B. Hope this helps! You can only dis-prove that someone is the father, based on their blood type. Using a 'punnett square' should help.
