If the food's origin is from an animal or plant it is very likely that it contains DNA. However, if the food has been exposed to Ultra Violet Radiation for a prolonged period of time, has been cooked at high temperatures or has been exposed to other harsh conditions for some time it is very likely that the DNA has been damaged or destroyed.

Please answer this quick i need to know today. it is for fith grade science project i am required to do it. I tried to take DNA out of three foods broclli corn and Oranges but it doesnt work. when i added alchol it sepreted from the real stuff but the DNA will not rise. Anyone have another way how to take DNA out of broclli corn and oranges.

Everything you eat is composed of cells. If cells contain DNA, then by logic, you eat DNA.

Yes. All food needs DNA because since it was once a living organism or still is one, it needs DNA to create protein through protein synthesis to allow growth.
