∙ 13y agoDiffusion (of oxygen etc) takes place across a maximum distance of about 1 cm. Therefore, large organisms need a transport system to carry the oxygen to all cells - and remove the waste (carbon dioxide).
The transport system is also used to take cells nutrients - the products of digestion. If this did not occur, only the cells of the lower digestive tract, where nutrient absorption takes place, would get the nutrients they need. Without these nutrients throughout the body, the cells would die.
The transport system is also very important in the immune response. It allows white blood cells to get to the site of infection etc.
It also is often used to take hormones to their target organs e.g. epinephrine (adrenaline).

∙ 13y agohumans need a transport system to help transport food and oxygen to various part of the body.It also takes the waste materials out of the cell.

∙ 13y agoThey have large bodies and food substances and oxygen needs to be transported efficiently.
There are several enzymes that are necessary for the metabolism of living organisms. Some of them include bile, pancreatic fluid and carbohydrates.
By the type of cell they are and what they have inside the cell
viruses are dormant when they are not inside a living cell. that means they don't have living characteristics when outside a living cell. they only reproduce when they are inside a living cell.
Thermal energy is stored inside any living organisms because of their body heat
The metabolic process is necessary for life. These are chemical transformations within living organisms that are life-sustaining.

~ kidney and homeostasis..........
inorganic compound that is found in living organisms is water. because water is an inorganic compound.!!!!!!
I am not sure that sodium carbonate is necessary for human beings.
Yes it is. There are many examples of active transport in living organisms.1. Plant roots absorb minerals from the soil water surrounding them by active transport.2. In the Human body, the glucose formed during digestion passes from the small intestine into the blood stream by active transport.
Essential materials, such as nutrients and oxygen have to be transported to different parts of the body in living organisms. Without this mechanism, life will not be sustained.

Classification provides a common language for scientists, and gives a common reference point with already identified organisms.
Diffusion is a rapid process and is therefore limited to shorter distances. Transport is includes the change of wastes, nutrients and gases.
