Nearly every child ever born has experienced some form of verbal abuse (being yelled at, being called names). "Abuse" can be a strong word when parents DO love their children, but the parents get stressed or fail to act better. You could also ask How many children back-talk and verbally 'abuse' one or both parents--the answer would be, likely every single child. Children should talk to their parents about "words that hurt". Do more talking to prevent more yelling from both sides.
