The Two Dollar coin from Hong Kong, a scalloped-shaped coin with a portrait of Queen Elizabeth the Second on the front and a Lion with an Orb on the back, was produced between 1975 and 1992. The portrait used was changed with the 1985 mintage (more substantial crown), but the coin was otherwise substantially unchanged. The coin is made of copper-nickel, weighs 8.4 grams and measures 28mm in diameter.

By foreign exchange value, the coin is worth about US$0.25.

According to the Standard Catalog of World Coins:

For dates 1975-1984 (except 1978) (KM#37), an example is worth US$0.45 is Very Fine condition, US$0.85 in Extremely Fine condition, and US$1.75 in Uncirculated condition. Only 504,000 were produced in 1978 - in Uncirculated condition, an example is worth about $US10.00 (no difference to other years in circulated condition).

For dates 1985-1992 (except 1987 and 1992) (KM#60), an example is worth US$0.45 is Very Fine condition, US$0.65 in Extremely Fine condition, and US$1.25 in Uncirculated condition. The 1987 and 1992 coins are worth US$0.45 is Very Fine condition, US$2.00 in Extremely Fine condition, and US$10.00 in Uncirculated condition. Also, 20,000 Proof coins were produced for collectors in 1988 - these are worth about US$35.00 each.
