The natural greenhouse effect is not man-made. The earth's carbon and water cycles keep enough greenhouse gas in the atmosphere to warm the planet so that life can exist. This has happened for millions of years.

The enhanced greenhouse effect is man-made. By burning fossil fuels and by deforestation we have been adding extra greenhouse gases to the atmosphere since the beginning of the Industrial Age (around 1750).

What is a short explanation of the greenhouse effect?

The greenhouse effect is what takes place when the sun's rays travel to earth, heating the air and soil. This heat radiates up from the earth's surface and gets trapped inside earth's atmosphere by a manmade layer of pollutants known as greenhouse gases. The term is used to compare the effect that the glass panels of a greenhouse have in trapping heat inside. The accelerated greenhouse effect is the primary cause of global warming.

A sentence for greenhouse effect?

Greenhouse effect is based on a Greenhouse

Where did the greenhouse effect start?

The greenhouse effect is started when the greenhouse gases are combined.

What is the natrual green house effect?

The natural greenhouse effect (as opposed to the manmade enhanced greenhouse effect) is the warming effect of naturally occurring greenhouse gases (water vapour, methane and carbon dioxide). The presence of these gases in our atmosphere have maintained then temperature of the Earth above the temperature that would be present by simple solar radiation. Without a natural greenhouse effect, the temperature of the Earth would be about zero degrees F (-18°C) instead of its present 57°F (14°C).

What is a sentence with greenhouse effect?

The greenhouse effect is the natural way that the Earth keeps warm. Too many extra greenhouse gases turn the greenhouse effect into an enhanced greenhouse effect. The enhanced, or accelerated, greenhouse effect is causing global warming.

How does the ozone layer get destroyed?

How do you use The greenhouse effect in a sentence?

What do humans do to effect the greenhouse effect?

The greenhouse effect keeps us all warm enough for life. The enhanced greenhouse effect causes global warming.

What is another name for enhanced greenhouse effect?

The greenhouse effect is the natural process by which greenhouse gases keep the earth's temperature at a comfortable level suitable for human existence. The enhanced greenhouse effect is the increase in greenhouse gases that is leading to global warming. The term "enhanced greenhouse effect" is also referred to as the "anthropogenic greenhouse effect" and is the idea that humans may have an effect on global climate. It is also referred to as the "runaway greenhouse effect".

How your atmosphere is like a greenhouse?

the greenhouse effect.

What is greenhouse warming?

What is the greenhouse effect? There are two meanings of the term "greenhouse effect". There is a "natural" greenhouse effect that keeps the Earth's climate warm and habitable. There is also the "man-made" greenhouse effect, which is the enhancement of Earth's natural greenhouse effect by the addition of greenhouse gases from the burning of fossil fuels (mainly petroleum, coal, and natural gas).

When did the Greenhouse effect start?

The Greenhouse effect started long before humans were on Earth. The Greenhouse effect is only intensified by the presence of humans.
