Na + F= NaF which is used in the fluoridation of water. It is also used in toothpaste to prevent tooth decay. However, most cities that fluoridate use silicofluorides. And toothpastes use many different kinds of fluoride.

Sodium fluoride is also used as a rat poison and children's fluoride supplements
