Passing the CPA Exam with a high score will give you nothing more than bragging rights. Under the current criteria, ten Sells awards are granted annually to candidates who completed testing during the previous year, passed all four sections of the CPA Examination on their first attempt, and earned the highest cumulative scores. All that matters is that you passed all 4 of the CPA Exam sections with a passing score of 75 or more on each with an 18 month window. Depending on your state board's rules, you must meet certain education requirments before being considered as a CPA Exam candidate. In Alabama you must be a citizen in addition to everything else. Most state's now require 150 credits on your bachelor's degree and some states require you to have taken certain accounting and bussiness-related courses, including ethics, finance, business law, and professional writing for business. CPA's, Accountants, and auditors are needed in all industries. As for becoming a CFO or CEO, that would depend on many factors. You can become the CEO of your own company at any time without a CPA license, you just need to have the ambitiative and a working business model. A CPA license will allow you to start your own accounting firm, and act as the auditor in charge for audits.
