that question is on my level 3 exam aswell......
xenon light bulbs work by using a chamber filled with gas and metal halides. When the lights are turned on, a charge is created between two tungsten electrodes, which create an arc of electricity and vapourise the metal halides. The vapourisation gives off a bright light and lots of energy. This energy excites the xenon in the bulb, which gives off the blue light.
Advantages of using this system include;
-environmentally friendly
-they last much longer than halogen lights
-they are significantly cheaper for car companies to install

Thunder and lighting are both products of a thunderstorm. Lighting is a static discharge that usually occurs during a thunderstorm (though it can also occur in some volcanic eruptions) and thunder is the shockwave produced by lightning.
An atmospheric discharge of static electricity is commonly known as lightning. Lightning is a sudden electrostatic discharge that occurs during a thunderstorm when there is a buildup of electric charge in the atmosphere.
To discharge the atmosphere in the form of a lightning bolt. Street lighting, took over from gas lights.
