If you're racing, there is a very fine line to getting optimal peformance out of these horses which if you make a mistake it can have disasterous concequences, you must find an expert in that particular field. If you just happened to buy a thoughbred and ride them occasionally, feed them like any other horse. Look at 'what are all of the kinds of horse feed'.

I have a belgian draft cross that is probally around 1800lbs give or take. He is in a dirt paddock shared with a goat. I do 2 quarts of grain for the horse. How much hay should i give?

How much is that in pounds? But it sounds like a lot. If you are trying for him to lose weight, I would give him very little grain (no more than 1 lb-1 1/2 lb per day) and give him as much hay as he will eat. But feed him a less nutritious hay like coastal.

Where can you find a food chain for a horse?

I didn't know they existed, but I'll give it a try. I don't think anything eats a horse, do it must be at the top. Horses eat hay. Hay gets food from the sun rays. So it must go Horse -> Hay -> Sun. Hope this helps.

How much or what dos a horse eat?
