Joux Joux is the love-child of London-based creatives Lucy Arnott and Alison Jones. Launched in 2009, the design duo fused their passion and education in fine arts and textile design to create a boutique brand that is the perfect mix of refined sophistication and relaxed London cool. Focusing on the art of beautiful shoe-making, the designers work Italian craft together with British heritage to create shoes that posses an understated elegance and laid-back luxury.
Described in the press as "the ones to watch" and "new label to love", Joux Joux achieved early success with shapes and styles that were embraced both critically and commercially. The'Pikes Shoe', 'Velvet Mugatu slipper' and 'Bardot boot' from season one and two were instant hits that have come to define the Joux Joux style.
Unique, high-end and timeless, every collection forms a concept, however
each style is classic in its own right, designed to transcend seasons and be
worn again and again. Inspired by a passion for popular culture, the designs fuse together aesthetics like Victorian with punk, beatnik with 50s cinema sirens. Fun, exciting and striking Joux Joux shoes make you stand out from the crowd.
In June 2010, Joux Joux with London and EEC regional support were selected as one of five labels from the UK industry to represent the very best developing talent from a base of over 100 applicants at the Footwear Industry flagship Micam trade event in Milan Sept 10'.
Going from strength to strength, the designers at Joux HQ have secured a place at the prestigious Wolf and Badger store, recent winners of the Walpole British Luxury Industry '2010 Brands of Tomorrow' award. Wolf and Badger is a unique lifestyle store that provides a platform to "showcase the best emerging new generation fashion and design companies."
Passion, quality and ethical production is at the heart of the Joux Joux
label. Working with traditional family-run factories in Italy, the product is
exquisitely hand-made by people who love what they do, in conditions
that are in-line with first world industry. Supporting this tradition and craft
is of uptmost importance to Joux Joux.
