There appear to be two candidates for the worst tornado to hit Texas in 2011.

The first was an EF1 in the town of Robston on January 9 that caused about $5 million in damage.

The other was an EF2 on April 26 that formed in Panola County, but the worst of the damage appears to have been in Louisiana.

A more definitive answer can be provided when the annual SPC tornado report for 2011 is released in early March.
