If you are in this position, this is what you should do. Friend or not, you should stay out of it. If she is your friend and you tell her that you aren't in this and say you are going to stay out of it, then she should understand. But if she is forcing you, and says that you join in or she isn't going to be your friend, then say fine we aren't friends then and walk away. There are plenty of people out there who would want to be you friend, she isn't the only one. So just don't get into the fight, ignore it, and walk away.
