You already put it out there that you're interested, that is a brave, admirable thing. If he ever returns your affections he will let you know because he is now aware that you would like to be more than friends. In the mean time it may be wise to distance yourself from him in order to give yourself room to heal and/or figure out if you can maintain that friendship. If staying friends with him and seeing him on a regular basis is hurting you, then it's probably a good time for a break from this person. Like the Supremes sang, "....you still wanna be just friends, but how can we still be friends when seeing you only breaks my heart again?" hahaha! After all, Jesus is the only man who can paint the stars in the night sky for you. That's how much He loves you! Not a single guy on the planet; no matter how kind, no matter how good looking, no matter how gentlemanly; is capable of loving you as much as Jesus does :)
Because you either feel bad about rejecting her or you actually like her you were just scared about your social status1

Yes totaly!
Go back to the person and be like "Wow you've really changed. Do you think you like me anymore?"
Wow, just tell her that that you are VERY sorry about how you rejected her. Let her know that you really do like her but you just were kinda nervous when she approached you. :)

Well, it depends if you still have a crush on him but this just means you're getting nervous and you're afraid of him finding out how you really feel because you don't want the possibility of being rejected.
