Can the same sex guinea pigs live together?

Yeah i don't see why not. But check them reguarly to make sure they don't fight, if they do separate them, but they might just get along fine, as guinea pigs are a sociable creature and prefers to be with others there own kind rather then alone.

Yes, you can. Males can live together successfully but keep in mind, each Guinea Pig has its own personality and will get along with some but not others. Pairing a dominant with a submissive pig is a good idea. Adoption rescues do have pairs for adoption usually. Also, make sure they can't smell or see females which the results of most male fights that have been together without issues for months is females.

It depends on whether the male has been neutered (If you want babies or not). If he has, then I think you can keep them together. Otherwise, the females my try to fight over the male (and vice versa, two males may fight over a female). If you do want baby guinea pigs, then keep one male and one female together. You should not keep any less than 2 at a time, but I think you could keep 2 males and 2 females.

Yes most of them can, as long as the cage is big enough (not a store bough cage - those are usually way too small) and they've been properly introduced - on neutral grounds. It works better if one of them is an adult and the other one a young piggy.
