Yes because red, yellow, green are more appetising colors that is why fast food resturants are red and yellow. They say blue is not apealing because there are no natural blue foods so people arent used to it. If you turned rice blue i bet someone wouldn't eat it.

Does food color affect taste?

It really depends on what brand of food colouring you use and the amount. Also, colour can affect the way you taste some things i.e. if you drunk some Pineapple Juice that was purple it might taste different because the colour is masking the flavour. This is all because sight and colour affects the way you taste things :)

How do the colors of the food you eat affect the flavor and your experience?

The ingredients of a food give it all of its properties; taste, colour, etc. The taste is based on what chemical reactions it will trigger in your tastebuds; colour has no effect on this. So colour has NO effect on the flavour of what you eat. It may affect your experience if you particularly enjoy seeing red jam on brown toast or dislike the appearance of white coffee, for example.
