The spaghetti would be in carbohydrates ( or bread, cereals and potatoes) and the meatballs in meat, fish and alternatives.
a good and fairly simple answer can be seen in the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. Each book starts with the heading Harry Potter and follows with the subheading relevant to that book (eg. and the Philosophers Stone)

Italian (imo) It really depends on how you intend on serving the meatballs: Swedish meatballs are intended to be served unaccompanied covered with a sour cream based brown gravy, Italian meatballs are intended to be served over spaghetti, vermicelli, linguine, etc. with a pasta sauce (e.g. tomato, cheese, pesto). The spices of each type of meatballs are different and using one type of meatballs for the purpose of the other would produce clashing flavors.
Instead of using jam for the sauce on spaghetti and meatballs cupcakes, you could use a vanilla pudding with red and a bit of yellow food coloring in it. Yogurt would work as well, but the cupcakes would need to be refrigerated. Or a simple powdered sugar glaze with food coloring.

When you drain your noodles, leave it in the strainer in the sink for a minute so the air can get to it, flipping it around a couple of times. The steam that comes off of them and the heat from the meatballs even after they have been drained causes more liquid to seep out of the noodles. Your other option would be to put the noodles back in the empty pot and stir it around in the pot on a medium heat to help evaporate off any excess moisture.
