First make sure that when you start your game that you save before you get your Pokemon then get it trade your starter away then turn off your game system then when you turn it back on pick a different starter then repeat until you have all of them or more.
Note:Does not work with Pokemon leafgreen or firered because you must get to far in the game so don't try that.
