You can't catch a seedot on Sapphire unless you use a game shark. You can catch a Seedot on Emerald or Ruby though. Next to Oldale Town.

Yes there is ONE way to get SEEDOT in Sapphire and I just caught mine. You need to have battled the Pokemon League and completed the game. One of those visits back home to Littleroot Town, make sure to watch your bedroom's Television. If you're extremely lucky, an announcer will be on TV saying that there was a rare sighting of the Pokemon SEEDOT in route 117.
I went to route 117 I walked in the small patch of grass and I encountered 2 (yes TWO) SEEDOTs there. I fainted the first one (duh) and I caught the other one!
The PokeDex entry still says the area is unknown. But I succesfully caught mine there.
Yes SEEDOT CAN BE CAUGHT in Sapphire. Wait for the announcement on TV to get it!

Hiya, you can only catch a seedot one way, and this is on pearl, diamond and platinum, (this method is not possible on the DSi and can only be done if you have Pokemon ruby) insert Pokemon ruby into the gba slot before you play pearl, and seedot will appear in routes 203, 204, 205 (north) and 212 (south), also found on route 212 (south) is nuzleaf, who also appears on route 229, good luck!

I don't really think you can. The thing is, in Sapphire you can catch Lotad but not Seedot and in Ruby you can catch Seedot but not Lotad. However in Emerald, you can catch both. So You'd have to trade from a Sapphire or Emerald. Lotad can be found on route 114 on Pokemon RUBY!
