How do you get the Kanto starter Pokemon in Soul Silver?

In Heart Gold and Soul Silver, you first go to Johto. After you defeat All 8 gym leaders, you have to go to Kanto. At the very right of New Bark Town, you will see a lake. Use Surf and you will be at Kanto. Then you have to defeat the Elite 4.

You need to get all eight gym badges from Johto and get all eight gym badges from Kanto. (You reach kanto by beating the Pokemon league.) When you have received all 16 gym badges talk to Prof. Oak and he will give you rock climb. You use rock climb to reach the top of mount silver. Climb Mount Silver and at the very top you will see Red (Ash). Battle and beat him. He has level 80's so be prepared. When you beat Red head back to to Prof. oak and you will get to choose your Kanto starter.

P.S. If you go to Silph Co. after you beat Red, Steven Stone will give one of the Hoenn starters

You all know that you can only get 1 starter Pokemon in the Pokemon games right? sorry about changing th subject. OK, here's how to get charmander, squirtle, or bulbasur: first you have to find ash (his name is actually red in the game) my friend told me that red (ash) has a Lv. 88 pikachu and my friend traded for a gengar Lv. 100 (that's weirdish) you have to battle him and win but my friend told me that red takes your money. anyway so you gotta battle him and win. that's all i know i just started game like all you rookies out there. you'll learn more from a friend who finish the game or after you beat ash.hope this helped ;)

First, you have to beat Red at the top of Mt. Silver after getting all 16 badges. He has a LV88 Pikachu, a LV84 Venusaur, a LV84 Charizard, a LV84 Blastoise, a LV82 Snorlax and a LV80 Lapras. Beat him, then go to Pallet Town. You need a space in your party. Talk to Professor Oak and he will give you the choice of either Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle. You can only pick 1. You'll have to trade the other starters or migrate them. You can also get 1 Hoenn starter. Beat Red, then go to Saffron City and enter Silph. Co. Talk to Steven and he will give you the choice of either the Blue Stone, the Red Stone, or the Green Stone. The Blue Stone is Mudkip, the Red Stone is Torchic, and the Green Stone in Treecko. Again, you need a space in your party and you can only have 1 of the starters.
