It really depends at what latitude the flight is operating. The lowest layer of the atmosphere, the troposphere, extends up to an altitude of about 23,000 feet (7km) at the poles, and an altitude of about 60,000 feet (17km) at the equator. Therefore, at the poles the aircraft would be flying above the troposhere, in the stratosphere. At the equator, though, the airplane would still be in the troposphere. As you go north or south from the equator, the maximum height of the troposhere (known as the tropopause) generally decreases from 17km to 7km. However, there are notable 'step' changes in the height of the tropopause, where there is a large change in temperature. This causes the high speed winds known as jetstreams, which aeroplanes use to improve journey times. At any location, the height of the tropopause (i.e. depth of the troposphere) is a function of temperature and air pressure/density. As it is warmer and pressure is lower at the equator, the tropopause is higher here than at the poles.

∙ 14y agoThe wright brothers created an airplane on 1902. One day the Wright's brother's (Orville and Wilbur) father bought a flying toy for the boys and this made them interested in flying. But before they build their airplane they had a company for bikes. One day, working in the store one of the brothers named Wilbur had a breakthrough and said that planes should work more like birds. And when hey went to kitty hawk they met a guy name Charlie Taylor, and they designed a new airplane. They also found how to make the airplanes wings. Back in the United States, Orville built a second model a for the corps at fort meyer near Dayton. On september 17, 1908, Orville was flying the model A with Thomas Selfridge. A properller split and broke loose during flight , causing the machine to crash. Selfridge did not survive. Orville spent weeks in the hospital Recovering from his injuries. These kinds of bad things didn't stop the Wright brothers though and soon they had made a lot of good flights and became known as the brothers who invented airplanes. The Wright brother's contribution to science and technology was learning how to build really good airplanes that were safe and would crash very much. Thank you, the end.

Aeroplane is not something which was discovered in a day or so. Rather it had an ancient history. Around 400 BC in Greece, Archytas, was reputed to have designed and built the first artificial, self-propelled flying device, a bird-shaped model propelled by a jet of what was probably steam, said to have flown some 200 m.1 there hundreds of other such reports of such flights. But the first documented and recorded flight was that of Wright brothers on 17 Dec, 1903. They made several flight in their home-made aircraft. Afterwards, the first commercial aeroplane was the de Havilland Comet, was introduced in 1952.2 [1]&[2] source: Wikipedia
Miles is the imperial unit of measuring distances. Kilometers or meters is the metric unit. 1 mile is 1.6093 km. So to convert km to miles, we divide by 1.6093. 1 feet = 0.0001893 miles.1 yard=0.9144 meters. The corresponding distance in miles is 13.3
It is equal to 44.09 pounds approximately. Kilogram is the metric unit and pound is the imperial unit for mass. 1 Kilogram is 2.204 pounds. So we multiply kg by 2.204 to get the equivalent pounds.
Airplanes are more efficient at higher altitudes.
Aerodynamic means the dynamics that is applied on airplanes. It is used for airplanes and their flights.
I believe 30000 - flt level 300 is the norm; even for short flights like delhi to Bangalore for Newark NJ to delhi the crusiing altitude is 33000

Many airline flights serve meals.
Airplanes effect the economy, because there are airlines who own and build the airplanes, and who manage filling, maintenance and all profits coming in off of the plane flights
Airborne ash potentially affecting airplanes.
No, Farnborough does not handle passenger flights.
The Memphis Airport is a large airport that supports many incoming and outbound flights. The average number of flights that fly in and out is around 1300 flights per day.
You're kidding, right? They don't carry parachutes on commercial passenger flights.
