∙ 14y ago1. Endocrine meaning it is a organ that should realease something to the outside like hormones. So since the thyroid releases hormones it is considered to be an endocrine organ and so it part of the endocrine system.

∙ 7y agoAs per my little knowledge, the ovaries are endocrine glands. They secrete the estrogen and progesterone. Progesterone after the ovulation takes place and estrogen continuously. I do not know any exocrine function of the ovary. Ovum is released by ovary. It can not be called as secretion of the ovary.
