Actually, braces don't hurt. Your teeth are just sore from the orthodontist treatment you've been receiving. Your teeth are moving. In my case, my teeth aren't sore anymore because I've had them for almost two years. But your teeth could become sore if your orthodontist tightens your braces. Don't worry... the soreness will get away soon. Just hang in there.

∙ 13y agobecause your teeth are wonky, and the bracket is attached to the centre of your tooth. when it is first put on, the wire will be wonky. in about 2-3 days, the wire will straighten, pulling all of your teeth about.
it hurts because they constantly shift your teeth. Also they have gooves that hurt your teeth

∙ 12y agoBecause braces are moving your teeth. During shifting of the teeth, they move around to the right spot. When they hurt, I can recommend you use some Advil maybe 2 a day can help. Relaxing and resting is good to, so you can sleep. Good thing is they don't hurt as bad during the day then they do at night. During night, they move the most so, you will have a bit of pain in the morning. I have braces on myself, so I can imagine the pain. explained in the best way I can!
