Can penicillin mixed with ibuprofen delay your period?

No but if you are on Birth Control and took penicillin and had intercourse you could be pregnant. Some antibiotics affect the birth control pill and therefore you could get pregnant. You should take a pregnancy test or see your doctor.

You know, I don't have an answer per say but I can tell you what happened to me and you'll see it's pretty related to what you're asking.

I've had an IUD (Mirena) for a year and a half now and I basically haven't had a period for over a year now. I just had strep throat so I had to take penicillin for 10 days (2 pills twice a day) to get rid of it. The pharmacist had told me that if I was on the pill, it might cause it to stop working so to use extra protection. He did mention that this was only on a theoretical point of view and that there's never been a case to prove it but it's better to be safe than sorry. When I told him I had an IUD he said the level of hormones is too low and once again, it's all theoretical so that really, wearing a condom is not a bad idea but there's never been anyone that's come forth with a result to penicillin while having an IUD.

Anyway, I took the pills for 10 days and around the 8th or 9th day, I started my first period in over a year! And it was just awful! Heavy flow, really bad cramps that wouldn't go away even with lots of sleep, pain killers and heat applied on the problem area. And it lasted so long! Before I had an IUD, I'd have a 7 day period MAX. This period lasted over 2 weeks! And I had cramps EVERYDAY! It was awful. And I can't think of anything else that could've affected it. I had the same level of stress, I went about the same activities... Really nothing changed in my life. The only thing was that for the first time in who knows how many years, I had to take a prescription and all of a sudden, I had this period....

All this to say, I don't know for sure, I'm not a doctor, a researcher or a scientist, but I can tell you just from my personal experience that I think it IS possible that your period came early because you took penicillin.
