Can suboxone cause black vomit

Nothing in the literature indicates a reason why subxone, especially administered by injection as it usually is, would cause black vomit.

Without knowing your diagnosis, I should point out that black vomit, especially when it looks like coffee grounds, may be indicative of a GI ulcer, which is critically serious.

I have seen all over the internet about how "Black Vomit" ,as it has been referred too, is a tell-tale sign of yellow fever...i want to also add that its a tell-tale sign of Ebola infection...

Granted Ebola infection is highly unlikely unless your in the depths of the African Congo...but it is still a possibility...you deffinately want to go get checked out.

The most likely problem is like the person above said, GI Ulcer would definitely give rise to the black vomit. Either way you need to get to a hospital and quickly, black vomit is NEVER a good sign.

AnswerI don't know where the first answerer is getting his/her information from, but Suboxone is not usually administered by injection. It is never administered by injection, unless an addict is attempting to abuse it. Suboxone comes in a bright orange sublingual tablet (sublingual means that it dissolves under the tongue, since it can't absorb properly in your stomach).

However, I agree with the first answerer's overall point: I know of no reason why Suboxone would cause black vomit. I've been on it, under the care of an addiction specialist, for over 4 years now, and I've never heard of Suboxone giving anybody black vomit.

I'm not sure about Suboxone, but "black" vomit is hematemesis (bloody vomit) in which the blood has become necrotic. This is indicative of severe internal hemorrhage, which can be caused by a number of things, the more serious of which are viral hemorrhagic fevers (which includes Ebola and Marburg). Since those diseases are highly infectious, the most stringent care must be taken when cleaning up the vomitus so that it does not spread.

yes you can vomit from suboxone. if you take before the opiate is out of your system 24-36 hours for pills(perks,oxys) usually 3-5 days for methadone and heroin. you can also vomit from being on suboxone and taking the above rugs, as it is a blocker. One ore way is if you have no opiate addiction and take one . You will probably get high but very sick
