No,the patch wouldn't regulate your period.

If your period is irregular it is because ovulation is irregular, as the patch works to suppress your menstrual cycles to prevent ovulation then that means you don't menstruate. Like the pill you get a withdrawal bleed caused by the drop in synthetic hormones when the active hormones are stopped, this occurs regularly but is in no way the same as having a regular period.

No, the IUD does not "regulate your period." The Paragard IUD may make your period a bit heavier and crampier, but it's nonhormonal and does not alter the timing of your period. The Mirena IUD is hormonal. Irregular bleeding or spotting can happen in the first few months of use, after which women on Mirena don't usually have bleeding.

Can you insert the nuva ring if your period hasn't came?

Yes. If it's your first cycle of Nuva Ring, be sure to use a backup birth control method, like condoms or abstincence from vaginal sex, for the first seven days. If you've been using it before, take a pregnancy test, and, if negative, insert the next ring.

Will your period come on if you keep the NuvaRing in?

Not necessarily. You can start your first ring with or without your period. If you start without your period, you should use a backup method, like condoms or abstinence from vaginal sex, for the first seven days. After that first month, you should put in the NuvaRing right on schedule, whether you're bleeding or not. For a large proportion of Nuva Ring users, that means inserting the next month's ring while you're still bleeding. It's not unusual to have breakthrough bleeding during the first few months of use.

Can NuvaRing force period on?

No, but it can cause spotting. In the first three months, you may have irregular spotting or bleeding. It's less common on Nuva Ring than on the pill, but it can occur. After the three month "breaking in" period, you should see more regular periods and lighter flow. If you have a problem in which you haven't had a period for some time, then Nuva Ring may help bring on withdrawal bleeding at the end of the three week "ring in" period. Whatever bleeding you have, just keep using the ring on the schedule on your calendar, regardless of bleeding.
