Almost certainly not. The minute amount of THC (the active component of marijuana) which one might ingest from secondhand smoke would not be enough to cause a positive result on a hair follicle-based drug screen.

Yes it does.

Hair testing is becoming the most popular form of drug testing as it is reported to be the most accurate.

Any hair can be sampled, from the head, chest, armpit, groin, arm or leg. Shaving all body hair is not a way around the test as the hair follicle can be removed for testing.

Approximately 1/2" hair gives a reading of the previous 30 days. A longer sample gives a reading of a longer period of time, thus a 1.5" sample will give a reading of the previous 90 days.

From passive smoking (second hand smoke) the reading is likely to very low and the testers will be ready for this as anyone could, in theory, have been inadvertently exposed to another smoking.

The basic answer is this: If you are being drug tested stay away from drugs. If you walked past someone smoking a joint in the street and breathed in enough that you could smell it I don't think it would even give a positive reading let alone be enough to get you into trouble. However, if you sat in a cannabis smoke filled car for hours I think it could well give a high enough reading to give you problems.

Hmmm not sure, shouldn't have much of an effect based on them looking for THC and second hand smoke from the mouth has no THC.

More than you'd ever come in contact with. The cutoff level is 100ng/dl of THC in your pee--enough that you'd have to consume the weed yourself to get there.

How can cleanse your hair for a drug test you were exposed to second hand marijuana smoke at a concert?

It depends on how concentrated the smoke was that you inhaled, but if you didn't actually take a hit you should be fine. If they are taking a hair strand, then they can trace back months of marjiuana use. Just b/c you were exposed to 2nd hand smoke doesn't mean you will have enough in your system to be traceable, that is a myth.

Will exposure to pot smoke make your hair follicle come back positive?

Yes. Infact they can do drug tests on kids if they have suspicion of parents or whoever smoking it around them, and it can be possible they have it in their hair. My dad who knows about this stuff said that it takes alot of smoking it to happen though.

My husband came up positive for THC and he do not smoke how long will this be in his hair?

If he doesn't smoke MJ then you need to focus more on the cause of the false-positive result, not the length of time, which is about three months.
