Um... well, you could be pregnant. Consider a home Pregnancy test. But, if you have not been having intercourse, there are different possibilities.

If you have just started your period in the past 1-2 years, it's normal. Don't freak.

Your body is just trying to adjust to the changes and stabilize itself.

Also, you may be working yourself too hard. If you relax and stop stressing, your period will come.

This works out because your body is using a lot of it's blood and energy to keep up with you, so there's not a lot left to contribute to a full on period.

So Relax, Take it easy, and eat healthily. Enjoy life and all the little things it has to offer.

Hope I helped!!!!

If I understand you correctly you have been flowing for eight straight weeks? That is not a normal reaction to hormonal BC and two cycles is (IMO) more than long enough to put up with that inconvenience! - so now it means you should call your doctor to find out what he would recommend switching your current pills for.

If you are taking a mini-pill or POP (Progesterone Only Pill) I would recommend you use a back up method until you get this figured out - sometimes breakthrough bleeding on the POP means you are also ovulating.

Why do you have brown periods when on birth control?

Birth control can very likely make your periods a lot lighter. Since there is not as much blood as usual it takes longer to be pushed out of your vagina. Just like blood turns brown after it has been out of the body for a while and is no longer 'fresh' the same thing happens when the blood takes a while to be pushed out.
