They are Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Madison, Hamilton, and Franklin. Below is a brief account of what they did.

George Washington --- first president (and set many presidential precedents that we still follow), commander of the Patriot Army, and the one to unite the country together

John Adams --- second president, very influential in declaring independence (advocated for it and got Jefferson to write it), diplomat, and kept the US out of an unnecessary war that would lead to the Louisiana Purchase

Thomas Jefferson --- third president, writer of the Declaration, cofounder of the Democratic Republican party that would become the Democratic Party later, made the Louisiana Purchase, and was the first Secretary of State

James Madison --- fourth president, very influential in getting the Constitutional Convention up and running, wrote about 30 of the 85 Federalist Papers including Nos. 10 and 51, Jefferson's Secretary of State, and the writer of the Bill of Rights

Alexander Hamilton --- first Secretary of the Treasury (he got the US economy up and running), also very influential in getting the Constitutional Convention up and running, devised and wrote 50 of the 85 Federalist Papers including Nos. 78 and 84, and a part of several important Supreme Court cases

Benjamin Franklin --- a diplomat to France and other countries, very influential in the writing of the Declaration of Independence, an ardent Federalist (in this context, supporter of the Constitution), and an inventor, among other things

You know, some of these people sound a lot better on paper than others.
