Sad to say, it's a lost cause. A baby bird is a hard rescue when it's well. One with a broken leg is just not salvageable. Put it in some cover, grass or a bush and let Nature take it's course. You had good intentions, but sometimes you just have to walk away.
You could at least try!!! Look up "bird rehabilitator in blank county". You could also call a vet and ask for bird rehabilitator numbers. Keep the baby as comfortable as possible in a junk towel or paper towel nest. put it in a shoe box on a towel on a heating pad set at 2 or about 98 degrees F.
