Answer old Florida organic method. three tablespoons of vegetable oil to one gallon of water. apply to top and bottom of leaves. reapply as needed. wiki goodness. spray bottle , or hose end sprayer. Using a spray attachment on your garden hose, spray the undersides and tops of the leaves thoroughly. When the aphids are washed off, they cannot climb back on again.
Answer Rubbish, of course they can climb back, unless you killed them. you can try a pesticide, but you dont really want to use most of these at home do you? or you can try spraying it with a diluted soap and water and alchohol mix. every 3-4 days until they are all gone. since this is just the one plant you can try wiping all the leaves and stems with same mix. Yes, I agree that the aphids can and most likely would climb back up. Soap and water will work but don't spray it on a plant in the heat of the day and not when sun is shinning on it, wait till late afternoon or spray early around 7 or 8 in the morning. If you do this and keep washing them off it makes it hard to impossible for them to repopulate.
yes supposedly by doing so it stops the tomato plants being attacked by aphids
to eat aphids (aphids eat plants garderners use ladybirds to get rid of aphids all the time)

To use a natural pest control. for example you have aphids on your tomato plants, you go out and buy lady bugs for that problem. (Ladybugs eat aphids BTW)
aphids
The introduction of natural enemies and the use of organic controls are ways to get rid of aphids without harming milkweed plants. Ladybugs tend to be the most beloved, diligent, intrepid beneficial insects to introduce and support when dealing with aphids. Horticultural oils against eggs and insecticidal soaps against immature and mature stages will not harm milkweeds or milkweed-lovers such as monarch butterflies.
No, not if you put it on it. Make sure that it doesn't get into its water supply. Then your plant will die. If you are trying to get squirrels away from your plant, its best to put cayenne pepper in front of your plants or a little on your plants. Remember, it does rain.
