One of my strengths as a correctional officer is my strong communication skills, which help me effectively interact with inmates and colleagues, fostering a respectful environment and promoting safety. Additionally, my ability to remain calm under pressure allows me to handle challenging situations with a level head. A weakness I acknowledge is my tendency to be overly empathetic, which can sometimes cloud my judgment in maintaining boundaries. However, I am actively working on balancing empathy with the necessary firmness required in this role.
