In the off-chance you were awake when it happened, get counseling. You shouldn't have put yourself in a position where that happened.

Hopefully, it happened when you were asleep.

If there were any other behavioral changes, take your cat to the vet. Something could be medically wrong.

You know your pet. If you think something's wrong, go to the vet.

Otherwise, start with an additional litterbox. Also, clean the litter box(es) you have more frequently. What a person thinks is "enough" might not have been for your cat. And talk to your vet at the cat's next checkup.

If that doesn't work, take your cat to the vet.
