I recently purchased two dwarf hamsters (of which I was told both were female) about two weeks ago. I had to separate them after 3 days due to fighting. Tonight I went to clean her cage and while she was out in her ball her bedding started moving! My first thought was that dwarf hamsters gestate for 18-21 days. So either I got a male and a female and they were very early or my little innocent Flip was prego when I got her.
I immediately called the pet store, and they said they would take any unwanted babies after two weeks. The need 2 weeks of alone time in their cage without cleaning or touching the hamster.
I hope you can keep one, but try your local Pet Land stores or a local non-chain pet store. They should take them off your hands for you.
AnswerI can't give you any help on raising baby hamsters, but I can tell you that the babies legally belong to you. Whether the pet store knew the hamster was pregnant or not, they are yours to keep if you so choose. You are not doint anything dishonest nor do you have an obligation to inform the store or to pay "extra" for the babies. My hamster is having babies too a good page to look at is:

everything there is entirely true
depending on the type of hamster you want to separate mum from child's at about 3 weeks old. anything else is on the page above.
Maybe they are thirsty. You should ask a pet store owner or where ever you got it from.
i got mine at petsmart but if you want a hamster to hold i would recomend you should get a bigger one
Well, in the summer my hamster had babies. When I got her she wasn't pregnant. Like a day later she was pregnant. I would say about two - three weeks... I think. If you need any more info check out hamsterific.com. If anyone would like to improve my answer, FEEL FREE!!!

i would recommend pets at home if u live in the UK i got my hamster from there and mines healthy and my friend got a dwarf hammie from there and its coming up 6!
At Petco they cost $2-10 US, I got a dwarf hamster and it cost $2.99.
The easiest way is to ask the vendor. Hamsters from pet stores are usually 4- 8 weeks of age. When I got my hamster I guessed she was 4 weeks because the pet store just put them in, so they were likely to be only 4 weeks old.
1-2 hamster babies.
You should take him to a vet or do lots of research in books and online
