Guinea pigs are fertile most of their life, but as they get older the percentage that the sow is likely to die giving birth gets higher. I don't think it is a good idea to breed, because without an experineced person to watch over them it can be particularly dangerous to the sow and her unborn babies. If you must breed, the best time to get her pregnant is when she is about 3-5 months old. Any older than about 6 months and there can be complications. There is something about the sows hips, that if any older than that, the time to give birth will be harder for her as her hips won't be as flexible. Again, I will say, breeding is not a good idea with guinea pigs as they are small creatures and the risks of neither one making it are high.
Kits nurse for about 6 to 8 weeks. My doe let me know when she was ready to leave her kits. You can see she tolerates their size and relentless attempts until she is certain they are ready to be fully weaned. Although I knew they were weaned, I still put the mother in with the kits daily. She helped to orient them to litter training and proper socialization. Be certain to keep hay and water available at all times so that as the kits are able, they may begin to eat and drink as an adult.
They stop nursing them, after about a month.
no one really knows they really stop when they think the puppy is old enough. so its all up to the mother dog.
Usually a few days before giving birth.
around 10-12 weeks
When they are around 3 weeks old.
When they are around 3 weeks old

there not drinking there mom's milk anymore.
problily not drinking enough milk. If his mom is dead your giving him the wrong kind of milk.
no because the babies need the milk of course maybe you should go out and buy another guinea pig
Abraham Lincoln's mom died in 1818 of an illness called MILK Disease.
assuming feeder mouse means a baby that's stilll drinking it's mom's milk, the mom should groom them.
ONLY guinea pig milk. Their mom will feed them her milk and then teach them to eat solid food.
Puppies typically transition from milk to solid food between 4-5 weeks of age. The mother's milk usually dries up between 2-4 weeks after the puppies stop nursing.
i know this cause i was just fostering 4 kittens. kittens suckle because they are used to suckling to get their mom's milk. so to stop suckling you have to get it used to drinking in a low cup like cats or get a syringe. if u do get a syringe give it to the kitten when he/she starts.
You get inbreeding and sick pups.
Santa can bring guinea pigs. Just put it on your Christmas list, and give it to your mom. Your mom will probubly mail it to The North Pole.
You should give him/her a milk. Other mom says that when their child cries it is the sign of hungriness.
Actually yes sometimes you could see women with awesome boobs but if you see they have a son or daughter then there boobs are probably big because of the milk they need for there babies my friends mom has big boobs but that's because she has a son that is 3 months old so yea milk can give you big boobs
