Why don't Horses use Rubber horseshoes?

Lone Pedersen wanted to give the horses the possibility to walk on a material with better shock absorption properties. Traditionally, the horse shoe is made out of steel and is fitted to the hooves of horses to offset wear. The steel shoes can wear out both the horses' joints and the surfaces they walk on. Lone Pedersen hoped that it would be more comfortable for the horses with the new shoes and that they would not be affected by as many injuries.

Many carriage horses wear rubber shoes as well. The shoes give the horses better footing, and better traction on pavement or other slick or west surfaces.

Some special horse shoes are made of plastic. Glue on shoes can be made of plastic.

Also, special boots that take the place of a horse shoe are also made of plastic.

Plastic horseshoes would crack very easily, and are not as easily molded to a horses foot. Metal horseshoes are easier in general.

Why horses have metal shoes on because of their condition of their hoofs. Some horses are flat footed, have been flush out. How i know this because i have a horse who's flat footed and been flush out before i got her. Also people do it for show because they have money. The real reason is because they problems just like human do with foot problems.

Horses have metal shoes on because it is the easiest (but not the healthiest) way. When horses are in a stall or small enclosed place(as most do) they stand in their waste for hours, and their waste has ammonia in it, and this ammonia weakens hooves. So, shoes are nailed on to prevent the hooves from shattering.

However, the shoes cause a whole other set of problems, that most people try to correct, with more shoes, because they do not fully understand what is really causing the problem. So shoes are also used for corrective work.

However, do not think that all horses have shoes. Not all horses have shoes. It is becoming more and more common because people like me have done some research and found barefeet the way to go.

They send up harmful vibrations (about 800 hertz), and the other joints have to absorb that shock.

They also prevent the hoof from its normal flexion that helps pump blood back up to the heart, making the heart work harder, which takes a toll on their lifespan.

Also, the weight of the horseshoe creates torque on the ligaments and muscles.

Horses wear shoes because it helps them with their balance and grip on the ground. Not all horses wear shoes though. some don't need them.

Horses need to wear shoes, because it helps them to run and trout and walk. Wild horses do not wear horse shoes but stable horses do.!!!!!
