Does it hurt when you get your top lip pierced?

Not sure about the top but i got mybottom lip pierced and im not gonna lie it hurt not too bad i didnt cry or anything but everyone had told me it just felt like a pinch...but they lied it was more like five pinches all at once its ok if you can stand the pain cause after the piercings over with theres no more pain at all!

I just got my lip pierced a few days ago, so I know about the piercing process, but not completely about the healing process. I got my bottom lip pierced on the left side with a 16 gauge ring. First, the piercer made me swish Listerine in my mouth. Then I sat down and she marked it. Then she swiped all of this banana-flavored numbing stuff around the inside of where the piercing would go in my mouth. That sucked. She then positioned a clamp on my lip. Most people say that this is the part that hurts the most, but it didn't hurt at all for me. Then she just sticks the needle through, which literally hurts for half of a second. I was holding my friend's hand while I got it done, and she noted that I didn't even increase the pressure of my squeeze when the needle went through. Then the piercer put the jewelry through, which hurt a little bit, but definitely no more than a bug bite, at all. It was definitely worth it. On the day of the piercing, my lip didn't really hurt. The next day it did and started to get really swollen. I don't think it's infected, but it is definitely painful whenever I bump it against things accidentally, or move it around.

If you want it and feel confident about that, definitely go for it! :)

nope they sure don't they don't numb anything before they pierce itbut it doesnt hurt they do it so fast you can barly feel it

Personally my Bottom lip did hurt more than my top lip, I think its because the bottom lip is alot thicker than the top. It really isn't that bad though and really worth getting done :D
