When one trains for a situation, he/she is preparing themselves. That training should kick in when it is needed most! Practice makes perfect, ya know. If one has been properly trained, some situations will be avoid altogether and when situations can't be avoided, that training will allow a person to assess information and make the best decision possible. If one has had no training whatsoever, the decisions will come from fear and panic. NOT GOOD!
