The Allies did NOT fight against Europe, they fought a political idea that was called NATIONAL SOCIALISM, that originated in the country of Germany. Europe is a continent, that has many different countries in it. It is not a country of it''s own. If you want to get smacked in the mouth just try to tell a Frenchman that he is a European. He will , quite rightly, tell you that he is not.
