To change the gear lube on a Yamaha 200E, start by locating the drain plug on the lower unit and removing it to let the old gear lube drain out completely. Once drained, replace the drain plug securely. Next, use a gear lube pump to fill the lower unit with fresh gear lube through the vent hole until it starts to seep out. Finally, replace the vent plug and ensure everything is tightened properly before testing the motor.
